![]() Doc Rivers announced Tuesday that the Celtics have agreed to a two-year contract with second-round pick Luke Harangody. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The Notre Dame alum met briefly with the media following the Shaquille O’Neal press conference. “It’s a great feeling to have a little job security, especially guaranteed,” Harangody said. “It helps me sleep easier at night. And to sign the contract is also a great feeling as well.” The 52nd pick of the 2010 draft, Harangody joins a star-filled front court in Boston. However, the prospect of playing with Shaquille O’Neal does not intimidate the former All-Big East player. He wasn't kidding.After a summer spent answering recurring questions about the contract of retired vet Rasheed Wallace, Celtics president Danny Ainge said the matter would be solved sooner rather than later. The solution: The Celtics waived the 15-year veteran, reaching a mutual agreement on the two years and $13 million Wallace left on the table. ![]() The NBA Finals have backed all other Celtics business up against the wall, starting with Thursday’s NBA draft and what the team should do with the 19th overall pick. Like a lot of people who saw replays of James wincing as he held his right arm after using it to make a free throw, Celtics center Kendrick Perkins was puzzled. ![]() Mark Murphy The Celtics have identified what is believed to be a relatively small field of potential free agents now that the deadline for player buyouts has passed. A Celtics source confirmed yesterday the primary target is veteran swingman Michael Finley, who was bought out of his contract by San Antonio on Monday. Finley is expected to clear waivers tonight. "There is no truth to either one of those," Ainge said. "I have had conversations with a lot of teams but those have never been discussed.
